As far as I know the size of the wheel has to be bought according to the size (race) of the hamster, otherwise they’ll hurt their back as it’ll be forced to continuously be in a bent position.
I don’t remember if a much bigger wheel is better though, I only remember that the size has to be right (I have never kept hamsters).
But I’ll try to suspend my disbelief since Cashew is basically an otherworldy magic hamster.

P.D.: Also, I think hamsters use sand baths or something.
